Article 1 (Definitions)

‘Personal Information’ refers to the information defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information pertaining to a living individual. It includes data such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, and other descriptions that can identify a specific individual, as well as data related to appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and health insurance card numbers that can individually identify a person (personal identification information).

Article 2 (Methods of Collection of Personal Information)

The Company may request personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number when a customer registers for our services. In addition, the Company may collect transaction records and payment-related information—including the customer’s personal information—from its business partners (including data providers, advertisers, and advertising distributors).

Article 3 (Purpose of Use of Personal Information)

The purposes for which the Company uses personal information are as follows: 1. To provide and operate our services 2. To respond to customer inquiries (including identity verification) 3. To send emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns, and information about other services provided by the Company 4. For maintenance and to deliver important notices as necessary 5. To identify and refuse service to users who violate the terms or use the service for fraudulent or improper purposes 6. To allow customers to view, change, or delete their registered information and check their usage status 7. To bill customers for paid services 8. For purposes incidental to the above The purposes may be changed only when a reasonable relation to the previous purposes is maintained. In the event of any changes, the updated purposes will be communicated to the customer by the Company’s prescribed methods or posted on our website.

Article 4 (Disclosure and Prohibition of Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

The Company will not provide personal information to any third party without the customer’s prior consent, except as permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws. However, the following exceptions apply: 1-1. When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain consent 1-2. When necessary to promote public health or the sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain consent 1-3. When a governmental or local authority, or its agent, needs to perform its statutory duties and obtaining consent would hinder such performance 1-4. When the following items are disclosed or published in advance and the Company has submitted a report to the Personal Information Protection Commission: • Inclusion of third-party provision in the purpose of use • The items of data provided to third parties • The means or methods of provision • Measures to suspend provision upon request • The method for accepting such requests Furthermore, in the following cases, the recipient is not considered a third party: 2-1. When the Company outsources all or part of the handling of personal information within the necessary scope to achieve the purpose 2-2. When personal information is provided due to a merger or other business succession 2-3. When personal information is jointly used with a specific party, provided that details (including the items, scope, purpose of use, and the name of the party responsible for managing the information) are notified in advance or made readily available.

Article 5 (Procedures for Access, Correction, and Suspension)

Customers may request disclosure of their personal information or records of third-party provision by following the procedures prescribed by the Company, except in cases where disclosure might harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the customer or a third party, significantly disrupt the Company’s business, or violate applicable laws, or if the requester cannot be verified. If the personal information held by the Company is found to be inaccurate, the customer may request correction, addition, or deletion, and the Company will promptly investigate and respond as necessary. Furthermore, requests for suspension of use, deletion, or cessation of provision to third parties may also be made; however, if the request method is insufficient or the request is not considered reasonable, or if legal constraints apply, the Company may be unable to comply.

Article 6 (Security Measures and Revisions to this Policy)

The Company implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the accuracy and security of personal information and promotes a culture of privacy protection throughout the organization. In addition, the Company complies with applicable Japanese laws and other regulations regarding personal information and will periodically review and improve this policy.

Article 7 (Disclosure of External Transmission under the Telecommunications Business Act)

This service may be subject to external transmission regulations under Article 27-12 of the Telecommunications Business Act. The following information pertains to such external transmission:
